Job PurposeManage a channel of customers to set the commercial strategy to deliver our revenue, profit and market share objectives.
Bring the outside in (store-back thinking) when it comes to our commercial strategy (pricing, promo, feature, mix, customer margins etc) and translate our brand plans into customer ready plans to be deployed in partnership with the sales team.
Operate within the broader CS&P strategy and ensure RGM plans are aligned both internally and with the customer needs.
DimensionsAccountable for the short and long term RGM strategy within the customer portfolio. Develop, monitor and course-correct annual and long-term customer plans working closely with the Sales and Sector teams, delivering against Princes revenue, profit and share targets. Adding value to customer performance and profitability.
Utilise channel and customer expertise to tailor plans that maximise RGM opportunities aligned to customer strategy.
Analyse and report performance of plans implemented, taking action and sharing learnings where required.
Principal Responsibilities
- For a channel of customers lead omnichannel RGM strategy including pricing, promotions, range mix, trade terms and commercial strategy.
- Run standard pricing analytics (e.g., pricing potential by pack, price pack curve, brand ladder vs. competition).
- Share guidelines on promo calendar (optimal discount depth / lift by pack.
- Establish high-level trade architecture and terms guidance.
- Ensure the customer channel plans collectively deliver the businesses revenue, profit, and share targets and set course correction when necessary.
- Develop customer ready packages based on extensive customer and channel knowledge ready for Sales to deliver, including NPD targets and customer exclusives/activations.
- Manage and model price and promotional elasticities, guiding to optimised RGM plans.
- Lead the analysis of performance across trade investments and take swift action where interventions are required.
- Provide guidance to shopper and category teams as to key targets and opportunities by customer.
- Support the build of RGM knowledge and capability across the business.
