We are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Operative to join our Juice Centre of Excellence at Princes Cardiff. This is a great time to join our business due to a recent £60 million investment into the site.

You will maintain hygiene standards across the site which includes cleaning the site. You will operate to schedules as provided by the Hygiene Supervisor.

Continental Shift Pattern 12 hours shifts

You will communicate with:
  • Hygiene Supervisor
  • Technical Manager
  • Quality Improvement Leaders
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Be supportive, act with integrity, show enthusiasm and embrace openness
  • Have an understanding of the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) and maturity matrix, and site must win battle plans
  • Implement lean manufacturing work practices where applicable e.g. 5s to drive continuous improvement activity at site
  • Cleaning of canteen toilets  
  • Cleaning of canteen floor and equipment Fridges, Microwaves  Bins, Furniture & walls at low level.
  • Cleaning of the office block including, Board Room & NPD
  • Cleaning of the Factory  offices, Warehouse Offices, Engineering Offices including wash room  & First Aid Room
  • Cleaning of the site locker rooms x 5 (3 internal 2 external cabins)
  • Ensure the hygiene storage room is kept to a 5s standard and equipment is colour coded.
  • Ensure personal security lockers are clean and usable.
  • Clean the furniture in the canteen, including walls at low levels.
  • Factory Cleaners & Hygiene team may be requested to work together as one, to complete some of the major cleaning tasks, as requested by the Hygiene Supervisor.
  • All employees should carry out their duties in a responsible manner giving due consideration to Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, which are part of the Integrated management System.
  • Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks.
  • These are the key daily tasks, not a comprehensive list of all tasks undertaken by the job holder.  Flexibility is required by the business & this will be agreed with the individual’s line manager.
General Responsibilities:
  • Understand and take an active role in lean manufacturing work practices including 5S, AM and problem solving (including root cause analysis), to drive continuous improvement activity throughout the site
  • You must exercise reasonable skill and care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work and you must not interfere with or obstruct anything provided in the interests of health and safety at work.
  • The incumbent should demonstrate behaviours which are in line with the site values & help to improve the Quality, Safety & Environmental culture.
  • Support the business in working towards delivering our ethical trading and human rights vision.
  • When engaging with internal and external stakeholders (such as consumers, customers or suppliers) maximise any potential opportunities to communicate Princes’ ethical trade and human rights approach.
