Job Purpose:
To ensure the handling of all finished foods are carried out according to  procedures with zero accidents or customer complaints

Principle Accountabilities:
Quality
  • RFT (right first time) achieve set targets.
  • The employee must be able to operate all requirements on Pallet handling, Receipt, Put away and Despatch.
  • Maintain plant to the required 5’s standards and adopt the “clean as you go policy.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with company procedures.
  • First Communicate and co-operate with colleagues in order to achieve goals and maintain product quality.
  • Accurately complete all reporting and recording procedures applicable to designated tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality standards.
Cost
  • Must be able to generate put away reports, stock reconciliation reports, picking lists and despatch notes for use in the warehouse and possess an in depth knowledge of SAP applicable to their area of operation.
  • They must be capable of accurate loading and checking of vehicles loaded by other employees in line with customer’s requirements and pick lists.
  • They must be capable of controlling the GRN system as well as completing all documentation associated with the operational task above in a manner as described in the relevant procedures manuals.
  • Be aware of your impact on pence per case (PPC) and attend work regularly and on time to keep costs to a minimum.
Delivery
  • Ensure all vehicles are loaded correctly or unloaded on time.
  • Ensure the department runs according to procedures (ISO9002 LF9)
  • Contribute to the achievement of OEE business targets through the delivering of an effective personal performance to the required standards.
  • Contribute to the achievement of service levels through the accurate recording of all production information.
 
Safety & Environment
  • Ensure you undertake your role safely and adhere to all site controls and safe working practices.
  • Understand your individual impact on the environment and what can be done to reduce this.
  • Ensure PPE is work at all times in accordance with site procedures and processes. 
  • All employees should carry out their duties in a responsible manner giving due consideration to Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures, which are part of the Integrated management System.  Specific responsibilities can be found at section 4.4.1.4 of the Health & Safety Management System.
  • Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks.
People
  • Respect your colleagues, peers and the Company.
  • Challenge existing practices making recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform any other duties required by Warehouse Supervisor
  • These are the key daily tasks, not a comprehensive list of all tasks undertaken by the job holder.  Flexibility is required by the business & this will be agreed with the individual’s line manager.

  • Versatile
  • Experience of team working
  • Fork Lift Truck experience
