The Princes Group has over 7,000 employees with offices and production sites in the UK, Netherlands, Italy, Poland, France and Mauritius. Princes manufactures 350 different food and drink products responsibly sourced and enjoyed by consumers every day. None of this would be possible without striving to be an employer of choice, where our colleagues are proud to represent our business.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled STO to support the logistics function at Princes Wisbech. Working days on a 4‑on / 4‑off pattern, you’ll lead the smooth running of key logistics processes that support our production and packing lines. You’ll take ownership of equipment, standards, and people on shift, ensuring the safe, efficient movement of materials to keep our factory flowing.

This role sits below the Logistics Coordinator level and is ideal for someone with strong operational knowledge who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

Operational & Technical Responsibilities

  • Operate and optimise logistics equipment and processes to support planned production flow.
  • Ensure materials, packaging and consumables are available on time and in the correct areas without disrupting line performance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and escalate issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Maintain all product, process safety and food safety requirements (including labelling, segregation and traceability).

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Role‑model safe behaviours and complete daily safety walk‑arounds.
  • Maintain high standards of GMP, 5S and hygiene across logistics areas.
  • Ensure raw materials, packaging and consumables are stored and handled to food safety standards.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing or factory/production support environments.
  • Ability to lead small teams, delegate work and coach others.
  • Strong understanding of safety, food safety, and GMP requirements.
  • Confident operating equipment and supporting changeovers or technical tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment supporting multiple production lines.
  • Good communication skills and a positive team approach.

At Princes we are committed to making all stages of our recruitment process accessible to all candidates (including application). Please let us know as soon as possible of any additional support or reasonable adjustments you require through the recruitment process by emailing Recruitment@princes.co.uk
