In the role of  Account Manager (fulltime, 40 hours) you will primarily work in the Dutch market in Retail, Foodservice and Industry. You will work closely with and report to the Senior International Account Manager.

Principal Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Senior International Account Manager:
  • Create account plans for the assigned market and customers (Competitor research, market analysis, economic developments, …)
  • Work on developing a number of customers, including acquisition and growing of accounts by offering the right set of products and services.
  • Regular customer visits and participation in fairs.
  • Execute and follow up the sales process: 1. Send offer (formulate calculations, constantly inform customer about market updates) 2. Close contract (negotiate prices within set range) 3. Execute contract (closely work with colleagues to deliver the contract)
  • Formulate and monitor reliable Sales forecasts (including collection of necessary information). 
  • Together with Marketing and / or customers: develop and realize campaigns to support the further growth of our brands (i.e.: actions, promotions). 
  • Analyse the current assortment, but also investigate the market and the competition to develop the right offering for each customer.
  • Analyse the data (YouGov, GfK, …) to fully understand the market and provide the optimal service to our customers.
  • At least a Bachelor degree. 
  • Between 3-5 years experience in retail (necessary!). Extra experience with foodservice and/or industry (B2B) is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Superunie members is a big plus.
  • Experience with managing an A-brand in the Dutch retail space. 
  • Strong presentation & interpersonal skills to build long lasting relationships, with customers but also with internal stakeholders. 
  • Be creative, assertive and curious to continuously learn more about all relevant market developments.
  • Have a commercial mentality, in combination with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong with numbers and have analytical insight. Prior experience with data such as Nielsen, YouGov, GfK is a big plus.
  • Be solution oriented in thinking forward to successfully conclude the sales process.
  • Must speak Dutch and English fluent (verbal and written).  
  • Ambitious to grow the business, but also your own career (learning and development).
