Job Purpose


To support with the development of category strategy for the drinks business, aligned to Marketing priorities. You will drive business awareness of performance through monthly reporting and deeper analysis, to support the Marketing, RGM and Commercial teams. You will support our external retailers with insights to deliver on category strategy and drive performance of the Drinks category.

 

Dimensions

 
  • Develop Princes category credentials, by being the authority in the drinks category, shopping, and consumption habits.
  • Develop strong customer relationships across commercial, marketing and RGM teams.
  • Work closely with the Drinks teams to support the development of strategic plans and provide relevant customer insight.
 

Principal Responsibilities

 
  • Analyse market and customer data to provide meaningful reports and analysis, which drive strategic recommendations, both for internal & external customers.
  • Monitor, report and record in market activity such as store surveys and promotion tracking
  • Be the key internal category contact for the drinks category’s and to become the expert in data and shopper analysis.
  • Be the key go to support with our retail partners on ranging and strategy

 
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
 
  • Experience of category management having worked with UK major multiples.
  • Extensive experience of using Kantar & IRI data sources, fully competent in manipulating their data software.
  • Analytical with strong excel skills, can turn data into meaningful strategic insight.
  • Ability to use data and insight from a number of different data sources to produce meaningful analysis and recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate to a number of different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Persuasive, articulate and astute.
  • Team Player.
  • Strong communicator – written and verbal.
  • Self motivated.
  • Organised, efficient and able to work to deadlines and manage work load.
