Princes Liverpool has an exciting opportunity for a HR Shared Services Officer to join the team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work within one of the most crucial parts of the Business providing support to all managers and colleagues from a Head Office and UK Manufacturing site perspective. Due to the size of the business this will provide the successful candidate with invaluable experience and exposure within a Global business. Additionally, there may be some opportunity to work with our international Princes sites.

Working within the Royal Liver building x2 days a week (Monday is an anchor day) and x3 days a week from home this role offers a great work-life balance.

Job Responsibilities

You will play an active part in supporting the HR function with projects and change initiatives as directed. Providing key data and MI reports as required. The role is varied and you will be working closely as part of a small team, engaging with stakeholders across multiple departments across multiple sites. Attention to detail and prioritisation are key skills required in this role
  • Support the effective operation of all HR administration throughout the full employee lifecycle including: sending new starter packs and providing a positive pre-boarding experience, timely processing of changes to existing employment contracts including promotion/salary changes, flexible working requests, maternity/paternity, secondments, calculating holiday entitlements, processing terminations and changes
  • Accurately input, update and maintain all employee data on the HR system.  Act as HR system ‘super user’ in accordance with internal controls
  • Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with departmental SLAs and payroll cut-off dates for both weekly and monthly paid employees
  • Answer queries, provide training, build custom reports and produce updated documentation for other HR colleagues on the HR System
  • Understand and ensure full implementation of the Princes policies and procedures
  • Provide timely and professional responses to queries and issues raised by colleagues and managers either face to face, by phone or through the Shared Services mailbox
  • Maintain relevant ER awareness by keeping self updated on upcoming employment law changes such as GDPR, Statutory Maternity Pay, National Minimum Wage and how this will impact on current processes
  • Produce monthly headcount report by gathering all relevant employee data from the HR system and via site HR. Collate all data and verify accuracy via totals reconciliation.
Experience Required
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (in particular, excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Customer focused mindset with excellent customer service skills
  • Competent in producing and analysing regular and ad hoc reports for internal and external distribution
  • Collaborative working to ensure consistency in service and standards
