Job Purpose:

  • Manage, enhance, and standardize Food Safety and Quality Management Systems at Wisbech and Long Sutton sites.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support the Site Quality Strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration with other Princes sites for knowledge sharing and improvement.
  • Act as deputy for the Canning Technical Manager when needed.

Dimensions:

  • Maintain quality standards, customer satisfaction, and market share in the competitive canned foods sector.
  • Enhance QMS systems across both sites to achieve "World Class" status.
  • Support the Canning Technical Manager in identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Serve as the key contact for various stakeholders on quality systems and procedures.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal audit programs for both sites, ensuring compliance and risk assessment principles.
  • Communicate detailed performance reports and address non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Support HACCP studies and review production records for compliance.
  • Lead the QMS Team, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accreditation standards and prepare for external audits.
  • Drive product safety and quality improvements as part of the Technical Strategy.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for QMS systems and Internal Auditing.
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure record keeping and housekeeping.
  • Foster a culture of Food Safety, QMS, and safety awareness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Prioritize communication with colleagues and external bodies.
  • Qualification in Food Related Subject to BSC or equivalent standard
  • Minimum of Level 3 Food Hygiene 
  • Minimum of Level 3 HACCP
  • Intensive Knowledge of BRC & IFS standards
  • Intensive Proven Knowledge QMS and Retailer COP’s and systems
  • Proven Internal Auditing Experience
  • Proven Food Processing/ Manufacturing Knowledge
  • Proven continuous improvement 
  • Highly computer literate
  • Lead Assessor Trained
