Job Purpose


In the role of Junior International Account Manager you will work in the French market.

You will report to the Senior International Account  Manager (France) with whom you will work together on several Key accounts in order to ensure annual turnover and profit growth. Some are existing accounts that you will gradually take over with guidance of the other sales colleagues. In parallel, you will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities.

Principal Responsibilities
 
  • Manage and develop strategic key accounts across retail and food service customers
  • Develop, maintain and continue an assigned market sector (France) including maintaining and developing accounts (current accounts, leads and prospects) by keeping up the range of products and regular customer visits / participating in fairs  
  • Build and deliver business plans with customers
  • Monitor performance (sales, margins, profitability) and drive corrective actions
  • Ensure excellent execution in collaboration with supply chain, NPD, technical, and finance
  • Identify and develop new customers within retail and FSI channels
  • Expand product listings and distribution across existing and new clients
  • Drive pricing strategy and margin optimization
  • Provide market insights and competitive analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in an international environment
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
 
  • Master’s degree in Business or equivalent -
  • 3–5+ years of experience in FMCG, ideally with exposure to both Retail and/or Food Service / B2B channels. Grocery is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (must) and SAP (preferably)
  • Proven experience in key account management and business development ("hunter" mindset)
  • Must have strong presentation & interpersonal skills to build long lasting relationships in an ever changing environment towards (international) customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Positive attitude, energy to work and drive business with other departments
  • Result- and solution-oriented attitude
  • Have the commercial instinct to always be looking for opportunities
  • Be flexible to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Have analytical skills
  • Be willing to travel abroad when occasionally needed
  • Excellent mastery in French and English (verbal and written). Dutch is a plus.
  • Driver’s license required
